Happy New Year! I hope
you all had an amazing holiday season. After a long day of traveling, I have
just done the raffle and am pleased to announce the winner.
Drum roll . . .
Congratulations to
Caitlin Manz, the winner of this year’s free manuscript critique giveaway!
I want to thank all of
you who entered. There were over fifty participants, which greatly surpassed my
expectations! I’m excited Between the Lines has gained such wonderful
followers.
For those of you who
still want that manuscript critique, I’m offering an alternative way to receive a
free manuscript critique. I am a firm believer that hard work—not
luck—should be rewarded. The problem I have with raffles is that they do not
factor in hard work. This can exacerbate an already frustrating perception
writers have that the publishing industry is completely random.
I want to reward your
hard work. So, I’ve decided that anyone who can recruit 15 people to join my
blog will also receive a free manuscript critique.
In order to participate,
please email me at laura@americaneditingservices.com with “Free Manuscript
Critique” in the subject line. Those who you recruit will need to follow me
publicly and/or follow me by email.
Happy writing,
Laura Carlson, Editor
